System Requirements
To use the on-line race entry system, you will need to have Javascript and Cookies enabled. Modern browsers support these facilities and generally come with them already switched on. The screen displays are optimised for 800x600 resolution and above.

At present, the on-line entry system is open to Cycling Australia race licence holders only. It is intended to extend it to non-licence holders, e.g. International riders, at a later date. You do not need to hold a current-year licence to lodge your entry, but you must present a current licence or receipt on race day.

Logging In
To log in you need to enter your last name and licence number as recorded on your licence. Access will only be granted to full racing licence holders, not Club or Recreation members, etc. If you experience any problems gaining access, use the feedback form to let us know the details.

Prior Entries
Once logged in, you will be presented with a list of races you have already entered. You can log in at any time to view this list without going any further.

Race List
You will be presented with a list of all scheduled races for which you are eligible to enter as at the date of the race. For instance, if you are to turn 15 next year, your list will contain all Under 15 races for this year and all Under 17 races for next year (as far as they have been scheduled). If today is past the closing date and late entries are allowed, the appropriate late entry fee will be shown on the list. If late entries are not being allowed, the race will not appear after the closing date. Races cannot be entered on line within five days of race date, and accordingly will not appear on your race list.

Events vs Races
The system distinguishes between an events and races within an event, where applicable. Many road events comprise just one race and one entry fee. However, some road events, and most track events, have different races for different categories, and have a range of fees. To cater for this, each race within an event is given its own race code and handled individually for entry purposes.

Race Entry
Each race on your race list has a check box alongside it. All you have to do to enter is tick the race(s) you are interested in and press the submit button.

An invoice is presented for confirmation before proceeding to payment. The invoice contains your membership details, the races you have nominated, the relevant race fees and the overall total. At this point you have the choice to go back and change your nominations, proceed to payment, or exit the race entry system altogether.

The system uses the Paypal Internet Payment Service, which accepts Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard. You should have a current credit card at hand or Paypal account before logging in to register for a race. The Paypal system validates your credit card details and these are not seen by Cycling Tasmania. After validation, you are returned to the race entry system and your race entries are recorded in the relevant race database tables. If Paypals validation fails, no payment is effected, and your race entry details are not recorded.
